Teach at CMS

Everyone has a favorite teacher that they remember.  Who was yours?  What about that teacher made them stand out?  Now think of yourself.  Do you hold those same qualities?  At Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools, we are looking for bright, energetic, motivated, and dedicated teachers.  We want individuals who will be inspiring leaders in and out of the classroom, raise achievement for every student and will never settle with the status quo.  If this sounds like you, please review the various pathways to teaching below

"I am thankful for the opportunities for growth in CMS.  We have some of the best opportunities for teachers who want to stay in or close to the classroom.  It is not every teacher's dream to lead a school, but most teachers want to be a leader in the school.  In CMS we have Multi Leader Classroom and Reach positions available.  These positions allow expert teachers to have a wider academic impact on students and facilitate a team of teachers at the same time.  These positions also allow for a higher payscale which is very attractive to any teacher."

- Jordan Todd, 2016 Teacher of the Year
