Opportunities abound in Central Office

Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools (CMS) has many management and support roles that take place outside of the school building.  With more than 18,000 employees, CMS is one of the largest employers in the Mecklenburg County. Each employee at CMS plays a vital role in our mission as we all work together to educate our students and support school system operations. While we have over 9,000 certified staff, it takes different departments and individuals to ensure our students are taken care of. Browse our list of non-instructional positions to see job openings in the following departments:  Building Services, Communications, Finance, Graphic Production Center, Office of Accountability, CMS Police Department, Procurement Services, Student Placement, Technology Services and more!
